USCCA Countering the Mass Shooter
USCCA Countering the Mass Shooter

Active threat incidents are statistically rare but happen in the places we frequent most — offices, schools, houses of worship, shopping centers. This course takes an honest, evidence-based look at how these events actually unfold and what the research says about survival outcomes. Rather than fear-based preparation, this course develops practical, scenario-grounded decision-making skills.
Topics include:
- How active threat incidents develop and evolve
- Warning signs and behavioral indicators
- The Run-Hide-Fight framework — applied realistically, not by rote
- Situational awareness in public environments
- Making rapid decisions with incomplete information
- What to do when law enforcement arrives
Who this is for: Anyone who works or spends time in public spaces and wants to move from passive anxiety to active preparedness. No firearms required or assumed.
Scheduling & Registration: Classes are booked through our USCCA instructor portal, where you can also view upcoming dates, pricing, and verified student reviews. The portal will open in a new window so you won't lose your place on this site.
