NRA Certified Pistol
If you're new to handguns or looking to solidify the fundamentals, this is the right place to start. The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course is the most widely recognized entry-level handgun course in the country, and for good reason — it builds a proper foundation that everything else builds on.
Course topics include:
- Safe gun handling and storage
- Ammunition types and selection
- Fundamentals of pistol shooting — grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control
- Selecting and purchasing a handgun
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Pathways for continued skill development
Who this is for: First-time shooters or those who want a structured, certified foundation before moving into more advanced coursework.
Scheduling & Registration: Classes are booked through our USCCA instructor portal, where you can also view upcoming dates, pricing, and verified student reviews. The portal will open in a new window so you won't lose your place on this site.
