USCCA Women's Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals
USCCA Women's Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals
Women face a distinct set of considerations when it comes to personal safety and carrying a firearm — from holster options and clothing to situational dynamics that differ from the standard defensive firearms curriculum. This course was designed to address those differences directly. Developed and authored by Beth Alcazar, USCCA Associate Editor and Senior Training Counselor, the curriculum brings together firearm fundamentals and self-defense concepts in an environment built for the way women actually think about and approach personal safety.
Topics include:
- Handgun fundamentals tailored to grip strength, hand size, and carry position options
- Self-defense awareness and threat avoidance
- Holster selection and concealed carry options for women's clothing
- Legal considerations for self-defense
- Live-fire skill development
Who this is for: Women who are new to firearms or self-defense training, and women who have taken general courses but want instruction that addresses their specific needs and circumstances.
Scheduling & Registration: Classes are booked through our USCCA instructor portal, where you can also view upcoming dates, pricing, and verified student reviews. The portal will open in a new window so you won't lose your place on this site.
